Your holiday begins as soon as you reach The Birkdale Guest House in Shanklin Old Village Isle of Wight.  From the warmth of our welcome to the quality of our Victorian accommodation for adults only, you will not be disappointed.  We have ample parking spaces at the front of the hotel and can book Isle of Wight Ferries on your behalf at reduced rates - however you will need to contact us direct by phone or email for ferry inclusive holidays.

Whether you come for a short break or a longer holiday you will feel totally relaxed and refreshed by the time you leave. 

Location

We are located in the heart of Shanklin Old Village, just a short stroll away from the picturesque ‘olde worlde’ thatched buildings including the famous Crab Inn, tea rooms, restaurants and gift shops.  Just a few minutes more and you will reach the Shanklin Chine and Rylstone Gardens where you will see red squirrels and can enjoy summer open air concerts, before reaching the award winning Shanklin beach.  Shanklin Theatre is also very close and offers a variety of shows through the summer.

Island Cooked Breakfast

We offer a variety of hot and cold breakfast options, from cereals, yoghurt, fruit and toast to a full cooked breakfast to set you up for your days activities.  We will have information available on events and attractions to help you plan your stay.  Vegetarian breakfasts are available and we ask you to discuss any special dietary requirements with us when booking.

Accommodation

Our quality accommodation consists of 7 tastefully and individually furnished rooms, all with en-suite facilities.  For that special occasion, honeymoon, birthday or anniversary, treat yourself to a stay in one of our two superior rooms offering king sized beds and DVD/CD player – one has a whirlpool bath and separate shower en-suite and the other has a four poster bed and double shower en-suite.  Refer to our photo gallery for pictures.  We pride ourselves on the cleanliness and comfort of our guest house and the service we offer and this is reflected in our enjoyEngland Four Star rating and Silver Award for Excellence.
